"You're gonna need a few more hands."

Today, hard grubbin took the national stage at the annual Columbia Children's Environmental Health Conference. As your boy was hittin the buffet hard, loading up my plates with the wide assortment of free bagels and pastries, a top environmental researcher turned to me, looking at my pile of pastries and noted, "I think you're gonna need a few more hands." Thanks for noticing, pal! Your weak attempt at humor made it known that HG is well represented at this national forum. I hope our paths cross again at the lunch buffet where you will surely be treated to a show.

  2. Always a good time to break the ice at a work meeting by grubbin HARD.

One classic move at a breakfast buffet as described above is jamming a quick bagel or four right into your pocket for future grubbin, or sharing with non-work pals.

  3. i once enraged a russian co-worker by eating two slices of pizza on top of each other at a work lunch because they had different toppings. he said "thats why americans are all so fat."

  4. We get family-style kiddie meals at lunch for free everyday. One of my co-workers and I shamelessly ask for seconds before we are even served and fight over any leftovers the kids haven't touched yet. And yes, as long as they are not the boogeriest kid, I will occasionally take the cheese-filled fish stick in the hot dog bun off a kid's plate if they are about to throw it away. Mmmmm, pre-K food...
